Curlew River

Ballet-Opéra-Pantomime

Concert Hall of the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal
8pm, June 15-16, 2013; October 10-11, 2013

“This small company, unknown only a week ago, offers of this strange church parable a rendering which is not only technically flawless, but also moving and fascinating for all of its 75-minute running time without intermission”
“Friday’s performance was not only very convincing, but impressive, with tenor Kyle Bielfield […] literally possessed by his role”

Warmly received by audiences and critics alike, BOP’s first production made the new company’s arrival on Montreal’s musical scene a well-noted appearance. During its four performances in the Hall of the Montreal Conservatoire, the project brought together a cast from among North America’s most accomplished and promising young singers in an evocative stage production that conjured the visual imagery of Mediaeval stained glass windows.
